In short

The Active Sessions feature displays all of a user's currently active sessions. It allows you to monitor which devices and browsers are currently connected to the account. This allows you to quickly check whether any unauthorized sessions are active and, if necessary, terminate unwanted sessions to ensure the security of the account.
